Jake Barksdale

Jake Barksdale has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and cybersecurity. Jake is currently employed as a Cyber Security Engineer at Confluence since June 2023. Before that, they worked as an IT Security Compliance Analyst at the City of Bradenton from January 2022 to June 2023. Prior to that, Jake worked at the Leon County Sheriff's Office in various roles. Jake started as an Information Technology Support Intern from July 2016 to August 2018. Then, they served as an Information Technology Specialist from an unknown start date to February 2021. Lastly, they worked as an IT Data Analyst from February 2021 to January 2022.

Jake Barksdale completed their education in the field of Information Technology. Jake first attended Tallahassee Community College, where they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from 2016 to 2019. Afterwards, Jake pursued a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Information Technology at Florida State University from 2019 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Jake has obtained several certifications related to cybersecurity and digital evidence recognition. These certifications include CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) ce Certification and CompTIA Security Analytics Expert – CSAE Stackable Certification from CompTIA, Cybercrime Awareness and Digital Evidence Recognition and Collection, as well as Undercover Cybercrime Investigations Training from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Jake has also completed the Logrhythm Security Analyst (LRSA) certification from LogRhythm and holds the following CompTIA certifications: CySA+ ce Certification, Security Analytics Professional – CSAP Certification, and Security+ ce Certification.
