David Leal, MS, MBA, CISSP

David Leal has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information technology. David is currently serving as the VP of IT Operations and Infrastructure at Consumers Credit Union, Illinois, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of Director of Information Technology at the same company from 2015 to 2021. David initially joined Consumers Credit Union as a Network Engineer in 2014. In this role, they were responsible for server management, network, security, virtualization, and helpdesk operations.

Before joining Consumers Credit Union, David worked as a Network Engineer at Supernova Networks from 2012 to 2014. Here, they configured and maintained various network devices and managed Microsoft Enterprise Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft Active Directory, and Domain Name System.

David began their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as an Assistant Data Chief from 2006 to 2011. In this role, they were involved in the planning, installation, operation, and management of data communications assets and information systems. David also played a role in implementing communication plans for large events such as the Marine Corps Marathons.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated expertise in IT operations, infrastructure management, network configuration, server management, and customer service. David holds an MS and an MBA degree, as well as a CISSP certification.

David Leal holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Network Engineering and Security from DePaul University, which was obtained from 2014 to 2015. David also earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Network Technologies from DePaul University between 2011 and 2014.

In terms of higher education, David Leal pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Northern Illinois University from 2017 to 2019. However, the field of study for their MBA is not specified.
