Aritra Chakraborty

Aritra Chakraborty is a Senior Research Scientist at Corning Incorporated since October 2022, with previous experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory, focusing on Crystal Plasticity Multiphysics modeling and advanced material simulation techniques. Aritra earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University, where research centered on material anisotropy and deformation behavior. Aritra has also held roles as an ENSURE mentor and teaching assistant, demonstrating a commitment to educating and motivating students in the field of material science. Prior experience includes roles as an Innovator in Residence at The SearchLite and various engineering positions at JSW Steel Ltd, contributing both technical expertise and business acumen. Educational background includes a B.Tech. from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur and high school studies at St. Stephen's School in Kolkata, India.
