Banjo Adegbohungbe has an extensive work experience in the banking industry. Banjo started their career in 1993 at Nigeria International Bank Limited, where they held roles as an Operations Assistant and Assistant Officer in Technology. In 1997, they joined Citibank Nigeria as a Management Associate through the Executive Trainee Programme and subsequently held various positions including Assistant Manager, Executive Officer, and Assistant General Manager in Trade Operations.

In 2007, Adegbohungbe moved to Access Bank Plc, where they worked for over a decade. Banjo served as Deputy General Manager in Global Trade, General Manager in Global Payments, and eventually became General Manager and Group Head of Corporate Operations.

Since 2018, Adegbohungbe has been working at Coronation Merchant Bank, initially as the Executive Director/COO. Banjo then took on the role of Deputy Managing Director, and currently holds the position of Managing Director.

Banjo Adegbohungbe has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from IMD. The dates of completion for this degree are not provided.

Prior to obtaining their MBA, Banjo attended Obafemi Awolowo University from 1986 to 1991. Banjo earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering.
