Andrea Martino

Andrea Martino is a seasoned professional in the field of aquaculture and marine biology, currently serving as a Senior Aquarist and Industrial PhD Researcher at Costa Edutainment SPA since February 2020. Andrea's research emphasizes the culture and nutritional enrichment of Calanoids copepods for their use as live prey in ornamental larval cultures, along with the production of various live feeds. Previous experience at Loro Parque included roles as Senior Aquarist and Head of Reproduction, where Andrea contributed to the design of new facilities and implemented breeding projects. With a robust educational background, including a PhD in Sustainable Aquaculture and Marine Environment from Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Andrea holds multiple degrees in aquaculture and marine biology from reputable institutions, further enhancing expertise in the field.
