Alison Howard

Alison Howard has comprehensive experience in the healthcare industry, spanning various roles and organizations. Alison is currently serving as the Director of Health System Planning & Special Projects at the County of Simcoe since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Administrator at the same organization from November 2021 to October 2022.

Alison also held the position of Board Member at Stevenson Memorial Hospital from June 2019 onwards. Alison served as the Regional Director of Seniors Living Ontario at SE Health from January 2021 to November 2021.

During their tenure at Trillium Health Partners, Alison worked in multiple roles, including Manager of Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery from September 2020 to January 2021, Consultant for Long Term Care from May 2020 to September 2020, and Manager of Rehabilitation and Palliative Care from May 2017 to May 2020.

Prior to Trillium, they were employed at the Region of Peel as the Manager of Community Support Services from April 2013 to May 2017. Alison gained valuable experience as the Patient Care Manager for Seniors at the William Osler Health System, overseeing various programs and partnerships from March 2012 to April 2013.

Alison also served as the Acting Administrator at The Davis Centre from March 2011 to March 2012, effectively managing the long-term care home and developing community linkages. Earlier in their career, they served as the Director of Care at Tall Pines Long Term Care Centre in the Region of Peel from December 2003 to March 2011.

Alison Howard obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ryerson University, graduating in 1995. Alison later pursued a Master's degree in Health Management from McMaster University, completing their studies in 2013. Alison also earned a certificate in Evidence Informed Decision Making from McMaster University in 2016. Additionally, Alison holds certifications as a Certified Health Executive from the Canadian College of Health Leaders, in Long Term Care Management from HealthCareCAN - SoinsSantéCAN, and as a Long-Term Care Administrator from OANHSS. Alison is also a Registered Nurse, certified by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
