Ernest Castillo

Ernest Castillo has over two decades of experience in engineering and project management, currently serving as the Congestion Revenue Rights Manager at CPS Energy since October 2001. Ernest began as an Engineer focused on Transmission Planning, where an implemented process improvement project resulted in a significant 60% reduction in process time. Prior to CPS Energy, Ernest was a Reliability Engineer at Sony, achieving Six Sigma Greenbelt certification and gaining extensive statistical analysis skills. Additional engineering experience includes a previous role at Motorola Semiconductor. Educational qualifications encompass a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Project Management from Texas A&M San Antonio and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
