Mikala Roberts

Mikala Roberts has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2014 when they worked as a Cook, Server, Driver, and CSR at Pizza Hut. In 2019, they moved on to Chick-fil-A-Franchise, where they worked as a CSR. In 2020, they began working for the North Carolina Department of Insurance as a Criminal Investigations Intern. Mikala also began working for CRC (CriminalRecordCheck.com) in 2020, where they hold two roles, Operations Research Specialist and Licensing Research Associate. In their roles, they have conducted security and employment background investigations, handled confidential information and PII, applied CRC policies and legal compliance to all data in a client-facing CRC report, submitted requests to Public Record Research Vendors and direct record sources, analyzed the NCDOI website and provided suggestions to improve site navigation, observed criminal investigation processes, and participated in ride alongs with special agents and shadowed crime analysts/fraud examiners.

Mikala Roberts attended Craven Community College from 2016 to 2018, where they obtained an Associate's degree. Mikala then continued their education at North Carolina State University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminology between 2018 and 2020.
