Edward Parsons

Edward Parsons has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Edward currently holds the role of Chief Operating Officer at CXL Ophthalmics since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Business Officer and VP of Strategy and Business Development at the same company from December 2021 to September 2022 and from March 2019 to December 2021, respectively. Edward also worked as a Strategy & Business Development Consultant at CXL Ophthalmics from August 2017 to March 2019.

Before joining CXL Ophthalmics, Edward founded their own consulting firm, Edward Parsons Consulting, in 2008, where they served as the Principal.

Edward has also worked as a Strategy Consultant at Tyrogenex from March 2015 to December 2016, where they evaluated clinical strategy and market opportunities in oncology and ophthalmology. Edward also acted as a Strategy Consultant at Xcovery from July 2015 to July 2016.

Furthermore, Edward served as an Investment Analyst at Fidelity Investments from August 2008 to January 2009 and as a Senior Scientist and Head of Imaging at EPIX Pharmaceuticals from August 2002 to May 2008. At EPIX Pharmaceuticals, they managed clinical and regulatory activities and supported the marketing of diagnostic imaging products globally.

Edward Parsons completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics at Yale University from 1992 to 1996. Edward then pursued further studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science and a Doctorate degree in Applied Physics from 1996 to 2002. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree through the Sloan Fellows Program in Innovation and Global Leadership.
