Sayuri Alwis has a diverse work experience, starting as a Summer Intern at SMUD in 2017. Sayuri then worked as Professional Waitstaff at Rubio's Restaurants and Staff at Peet's Coffee in 2018, followed by a role as a Food Delivery Driver at DoorDash in 2020. Sayuri also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the UCSC Environmental Studies Department from 2020 to 2021, where they transcribed interviews, engaged in research discussions, and presented their research at a conference. Sayuri was selected as a Global Food Initiative Fellow and a Bonnie Reiss Carbon Neutrality Initiative Fellow at the University of California Office of the President, where they worked on projects related to food security and greenhouse gas emissions reduction from 2019 to 2021. More recently, Sayuri held positions as an Animal Care Provider at Rover.com in 2021 and as a Program Manager at Tera Farm in 2021. Currently, Sayuri is working as a Consumer Products Associate at Cyclopure since 2022.
Sayuri Alwis pursued their education at the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2018 to 2022, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. Prior to that, they attended Folsom High School from 2014 to 2018 and successfully completed the Regular/General High School/Secondary Diploma Program, earning their High School Diploma.
