Kuan Feng

Kuan Feng is a Research Scientist at Arbor Biosciences since January 2019, previously serving as a Research Assistant at the University of New Mexico from August 2013 to December 2018. During the tenure at the University, Kuan Feng expressed and purified novel enzymes for next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation, developed a comprehensive DNA sequencing technique using innovative DNA chips, and studied structural variation in breast cancer cell lines utilizing Hi-C technology to identify chromosome translocations affecting cancer-related gene expression. Additionally, Kuan Feng created a new technique for methylation detection employing DNA combing and super-resolution imaging. A summer internship at Centrillion Biosciences in mid-2016 involved collaboration with scientists to develop NGS library preparation on solid surfaces. Kuan Feng holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Sciences from The University of New Mexico, earned in 2018.
