Lin Yuan

Lin Yuan is an experienced engineering manager currently at Databricks, focusing on building enterprise-grade AI platforms since January 2024. Previously, Lin served as a staff software engineer and tech lead at Waymo, leading the development of a machine learning training platform for autonomous vehicles. Additional roles include technical lead in deep learning frameworks at Amazon Web Services, where optimization efforts significantly reduced model training times, and a senior machine learning engineer at Quantcast, contributing to the development of a machine learning platform. Lin began a career at Synopsys Inc, evolving from a staff software engineer to engineering lead, and has experience in developing tools that enhance power network synthesis and design planning. Lin's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University.
