James Scott

James Scott has a diverse work experience in financial reporting, compliance, internal audit, and audit management. James most recently served as the Director of Financial Reporting at Dave & Buster's Inc. From 2011 to 2022, they held various roles at Cinemark, including Director of Financial Reporting and Manager/Senior Manager of Reporting and Compliance. Prior to that, they worked as an Internal Audit Supervisor at ACS, a Xerox Company, and as a SOX Compliance Manager at Alliance Data. James began their career at KPMG, where they worked as an Audit Manager, Audit Senior, and Audit Staff. James also had an internship as an Audit Intern at Arthur Andersen LLP.

James Scott completed their education at various institutions. James attended Llano High School from 1994 to 1998. James then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University from 1998 to 2003. During the same period, they also completed the Professional Program at Texas A&M University, earning a Masters degree in Accounting. Later, from 2001 to 2003, they furthered their studies at the Mays Business School, obtaining a Masters degree in Accounting. James also holds additional certifications, including a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 2008 and a certificate in Managing Burnout from LinkedIn, obtained in 2022.
