Miguel Hormigo

Miguel Hormigo has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and business intelligence.

Miguel is currently working as a Software Engineer at Dawa, a company specializing in solving Ecommerce Returns needs.

Prior to this, Miguel worked at Ingram Micro Cloud as a Junior Software Developer. In this role, they played a key part in the development of an insights solution, where they increased ETL performance by over 100% through the implementation of async Psycopg Python library and a semaphore. Miguel also developed multiple Azure Functions using fan-out/fan-in and implemented unit and integration tests.

Before joining Ingram Micro Cloud, Miguel gained experience at Clariba, where they were initially an Intern and later promoted to the role of Business Intelligence Developer. In this position, they carried out ETL workflows with SAP products such as SAC and Hana, and developed scripts using JavaScript to transfer data between applications.

Miguel's earlier work experience includes being the Manager of Online Radio Multimedia Distribution System at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Here, they proposed and developed a new design for the school's online radio website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Additionally, they were responsible for recording social events and managing the database system.

Miguel Hormigo completed their education from 2017 to 2021 at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where they obtained a Grado en Ingeniería degree in Ingeniería de software (Software Engineering). In addition to their degree, they also acquired further certifications. In June 2017, they received the Cambridge English Level 2 Certificate in ESOL International (Advanced) - Level C1 from Cambridge Assessment English. Later in December 2022, they completed the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Associate certification provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
