Researcher at deCODE genetics

Saedis Saevarsdottir is an accomplished researcher and medical professional with extensive experience in rheumatology and academia. Currently serving as a researcher at deCODE genetics and a professor and vice dean at the University of Iceland's Faculty of Medicine, Saedis has consistently contributed to both research and education since November 2019. Additionally, Saedis holds a position as a rheumatologist at Landspitali University Hospital and has been an associate professor at Karolinska institutet since October 2005. From January 2014 to 2017, Saedis was the chief rheumatologist and head of the arthritis unit at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset.
