Maia Cook

Maia Cook is an experienced policy professional currently serving as a Policy and Project Officer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Tas) since April 2019. Prior to this role, Maia worked as a Policy Analyst at the Department of Communities Tasmania in early 2019 and held a Graduate Policy Officer position at the same department from February 2018 to February 2019, completing graduate rotations in the Policy Division and State Service Management Office. Earlier experience includes working as a Graduate Policy Officer at the Department of Education, Tasmania, and various roles at the University of Tasmania, contributing as a Professional Note-taker and a Student Wellbeing Officer in Disability Services. Additionally, Maia gained valuable insights through internships at Tasmanian Parliament and the Department of Health. Educationally, Maia holds a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Policy, and International Relations from the University of Tasmania.
