Isabelle Lauerman

Exhibition Project Manager at Detroit Institute of Arts

Isabelle Lauerman has a diverse range of experience in the arts, with roles ranging from administrative and coordinating positions to curatorial and project management roles. Isabelle has worked at the Detroit Institute of Arts as an Exhibition Project Manager, the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit as a Curatorial + Exhibitions Coordinator and an Exhibitions intern, and the Mott-Warsh Collection as a Curatorial Assistant. Prior to these positions, Lauerman gained experience as a Curator at Ilitch Holdings, Inc. and a Gallery Assistant at Elaine L. Jacobs Gallery, Wayne State University. Isabelle has also worked in community arts programs and as a Studio Assistant for up-and-coming artists in the Greater Detroit area. Lauerman has experience in exhibition planning and installation, artist/curator contracts, loans, shipping and accommodation arrangements, and exhibit development and interpretation.

Isabelle Lauerman received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Wayne State University in 2013. In 2008, they also attended Wayne State University and later returned to receive their Master's degree in Art History: Modern & Contemporary, graduating in 2018. In 2008, Isabelle also briefly attended the College for Creative Studies. It is unclear if they obtained a degree from this institution.
