Jan Camenisch

Jan Camenisch is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in technology and research, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer and VP of Research & Crypto at DFINITY since September 2018. In addition, Jan Camenisch holds a position as a Technical Governance Board Member for the Sovrin Foundation since April 2017. Prior to these roles, Jan Camenisch spent nearly two decades at IBM Research as a Principal Research Staff Member from July 1999 to August 2018. Early academic roles include serving as a research assistant professor at Aarhus University and as a research assistant at ETH Zurich. Jan Camenisch’s educational background includes a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Cryptography and a Master of Architecture in Electrical Engineering, both obtained from ETH Zurich.
