Michael Schmitt

Michael Schmitt serves as the Director of Engineering at TSI since April 2020, contributing extensive experience in the logistics and aviation sectors. Previously, as Vice President of Infrastructure & PMO EU at DHL Express Europe from January 2012, Schmitt oversaw a €2.0 billion facility expansion and high-tech autosort solutions across Europe. Schmitt's tenure at DHL Express Americas included roles as Head of Aviation and Director of Hub Development, managing significant budgets and critical projects to enhance aviation operations and facility expansions. Beginning with DHL Airways in 1982, Schmitt developed automated systems for aviation maintenance and led large-scale operational teams. Schmitt holds an Executive MBA in Finance from Cranfield University and a BS in Business and Aviation Administration from Northern Kentucky University, along with FAA Operating Certification.
