Alexis Roche has a strong background in research and leadership roles. They started their career as a PhD student at INRIA in 1997 and later worked as a research assistant at the University of Oxford. In 2002, Alexis became a permanent researcher at CEA and stayed there until 2010. They then joined ETHZ as an academic guest from 2009 to 2011. Alexis's next position was at Siemens Healthineers / Lausanne University Hospital, where they served as a Lead Clinical Researcher from 2011 to 2017. In 2017, they joined CoVii - Arçelik SW Innovation Center as a Senior Computer Vision Scientist until 2019. Currently, Alexis is the Head of AI at Didimo.
Alexis Roche began their education journey in 1993 at CentraleSupélec, where they pursued an Engineer's degree in Applied Mathematics until 1996. Following this, they enrolled at Pierre and Marie Curie University in 1995 and obtained a Master's degree in Cognitive Science in 1996. Alexis continued their academic pursuits at Université Côte d'Azur from 1997 to 2001, dedicating their time to completing a PhD in Computer Science.
