Yih-Chii Hwang, PhD

Yih-Chii Hwang, PhD, is a Principal Scientist and Manager of Science at DNAnexus, overseeing a team of three and managing a comprehensive library of over 150 bioinformatics analysis applications and workflows. Previously, Yih-Chii served as a Senior Bioinformatician Team Lead, engaging with commercial partners to develop integration solutions, and as a Bioinformatician, where significant contributions included building DNA-seq variant calling pipelines for over 100,000 samples. Yih-Chii earned a PhD in Genome Sciences/Genomics from the University of Pennsylvania, where research focused on algorithms for high-throughput DNA sequencing data, and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at National Yang Ming University and an internship at the Institute for Systems Biology.
