Ian Butelmann von Beck

Ian Butelmann von Beck has worked in various roles in the technology and finance sectors. From 2021 to present, they have been a Software Engineer at Draftea, a technology startup backed by Sequoia, Kaszek and Bullpen Capital. Prior to that, they were an Investment Analyst at DVA Capital from 2019 to 2021, where they evaluated electricity market companies and implemented risk measuring strategies for their equity funds. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Data Scientist at Akainix, where they designed interactive data visualizations and performance indicators, as well as implemented logistic regression and random forest models.

Ian Butelmann von Beck completed a Master of Science in Mathematics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained an Industrial Engineering degree with Specialization in Applied Mathematics from the same university from 2013 to 2018. Ian also completed a Mathematical Reasoning Course from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from 2011 to 2012.
