Amber Wason

Amber Wason has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Amber is currently the VP of Growth & Innovation at Drop Mobility, a position they have held since February 2021. Prior to that, they co-founded and served as the COO of Riide for eight years, from January 2014 to January 2022. Amber also founded NearMetro.com Real Estate Team, a blog that explores real estate through the lens of city transportation, from January 2010 to 2014.

Amber's entrepreneurial skills are also evidenced by their role as a co-founder of RideBliss from May 2008 to January 2010. Amber gained experience in the carsharing industry as the Director of Marketing at Flexcar, a leading carsharing service in the US. During their tenure at Flexcar, they worked closely with the CMO to implement marketing strategies and drive signups from July 2007 to January 2008.

Prior to their involvement in the transportation industry, Amber worked as a Marketing Specialist at UrbanTrans Consultants, Inc. from September 2006 to July 2007. Here, they were involved in various transportation projects and worked on marketing contracts for organizations such as the DC Circulator, goDCgo.com, Commuter Connections, and the Atlantic Station Access + Mobility Program in Atlanta.

Amber also gained valuable experience as a Transportation Intern at the Downtown DC Business Improvement District in 2006. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Corporate Hospitality Intern at NBC Universal, where they assisted in hosting VIPs at the 2006 winter games and coordinated transportation for executives of top advertisers.
