Joanne Roberts

Joanne Roberts is a highly experienced engineering professional with a robust background in systems engineering, research, and management. Currently serving as Head of Engineering at Drumgrange Ltd since March 2024, Joanne previously held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Ultra Maritime from November 2021 to March 2024, after leading as Director of Engineering for both the UK and North America. Prior roles include Head of Capability Management and Engineering Manager at Ultra Electronics Command & Sonar Systems, where Joanne oversaw R&D projects aligned with strategic goals. Joanne's earlier experience encompasses leadership in product development at Thales, technical leadership in sensor systems for military applications at QinetiQ, and research in electro-optic systems with a focus on machine learning techniques at the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency. Joanne started a career in signal processing with the Defence Research Agency following a Master of Science degree in Remote Sensing and Image Processing Technology from The University of Edinburgh.
