Sean Devlin has an extensive work history, starting in 1996 at The Walt Disney Studios as a Senior Departmental Facilities Clerk. Sean then moved up to become a Relocations Supervisor, overseeing large inter-office moves, workstation reconfigurations, and furniture deliveries. In 2001, they joined The Walt Disney Company as a Relocations and FF&E Manager, managing Western Region relocations and the inventory of studio furnishings. Sean also implemented the BarScan asset tracking system.
In 2008, Sean joined Disney Store as a Manager, implementing third-party maintenance coverage for stores in the US and Canada. Sean then joined Disney Consumer Products as a Manager of Store Development & Maintenance in 2008.
In 2009, Sean joined the Disney ABC Television Group as a Senior Manager of Facilities, where they successfully managed executive projects and led the development and installation of Telepresence Conference Sites.
Sean's next move was to Google in 2014, where they started as a Facilities Manager overseeing offices in the Michigan region and Google Fiber eSuites. Sean then became a Real Estate - Business Partner Manager, overseeing workplace planning and facilities for two Google Product Areas in the Bay Area. Finally, they served as a Regional Facilities Manager, responsible for workspace experiences in Southern California and Colorado.
In 2019, Sean joined Netflix as the Director of LA Workplace - Operations & Experience. In this role, they led workplace oversight for their Hollywood urban campus, as well as Return to Office planning for corporate sites.
Most recently, Sean joined Duolingo in 2023 as the VP Head of Global Workplace & Real Estate.
Sean Devlin received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Richmond, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Prior to attending the university, they also attended The Episcopal Academy, although the years of enrollment and any degrees or fields of study are not specified.
