Alexander Kononov

Alexander Kononov is currently a Bioinformatician at E Therapeutics Plc. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) from January 2019 to July 2021, where they were responsible for bioinformatics, data science, and big data analysis for pancreatic cancer research. Alexander also worked as a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) from March 2017 to November 2018, where they developed approaches to analyze drug screening tests for cancer treatment and analyzed human whole-genome sequences for allocated sub-clones within ovarian cancer.

Alexander Kononov has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Genetics from Novosibirsk State University (NSU) and a Master's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, also from NSU.

Alexander Kononov reports to Alan Whitmore, Chief Scientific Officer. They work with Tony Wildish - Head of Scientific Computing, Adrian Mogg - Principal Cell Biologist, and Dale Bridges - Senior Bioinformatics Engineer.
