Ioannis Kamzolas

Ioannis Kamzolas is a skilled bioinformatics scientist and postdoctoral research associate at the University of Cambridge since October 2017, concurrently serving as a visitor post-doctoral researcher and doctoral student at the European Bioinformatics Institute. Ioannis has previous experience as a visitor PhD student at Novo Nordisk and an internship trainee at EMBL, focusing on the role of RNA-binding proteins in cancer prognosis. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge and two master's degrees from the University of Patras, one in informatics for life sciences and another in computer engineering and informatics. Prior roles include assistant manager at DIOMAR S.A. and high school tutor in mathematics, IT, and programming, alongside military service in IT support for the Greek Army.
