Kacie Kurisaki

Kacie Kurisaki has held various roles in the science industry since 2011. Kacie began their career as a Laboratory Intern at the Partnership for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coastal Oceans (PISCO). Kacie was then promoted to Laboratory Manager, where they were in charge of maintaining the on-campus lab, hiring and training interns, and keeping the lab stocked with necessary reagents and supplies. In 2014, they began working at Molecular Express, Inc. as a Research Technician, where they were responsible for carrying out various R&D projects and assisting their supervisor with research. Kacie was then promoted to Project Supervisor Level II, where they wrote and implemented SOPs and Test Methods, and aided in assay development for the testing of collagen products. Finally, they were promoted to Laboratory Manager (QA/QC), where they were responsible for performing QC testing on products, QC review of SOPs and Test Methods, and filling out investigations, deviations, and CAPAs for products, procedures, or equipment found out of specification. In 2021, Kacie began working at Eclipse Bioinnovations as a Laboratory Manager.

Kacie Kurisaki graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Aquatic Biology/Limnology.
