Robert Choy

Robert Choy began their work experience in 2000 as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, where they worked until 2005. Robert then joined Smith Barney as a Financial Advisor from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, Choy joined Fidelity Investments as a VP, Financial Consultant and stayed with the company until 2016. In 2016, they joined Edelman Financial Engines as the Director of Financial Planning, where they are currently employed.

Robert Choy, CPWA®, CFP® has a Master of Urban & Regional Planning degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, obtained in 1996. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Architecture degree at the same university in 1991. In addition to their academic qualifications, they hold several certifications including Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) from the Investments & Wealth Institute, obtained in 2015, and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) from the CFP Board, obtained in 2006. Recently, in 2021, they obtained the DACFP Certificate in Blockchain and Digital Assets® from the Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals.
