Sethu Vijayakumar

Sethu Vijayakumar is the Programme Director for Robotics & AI and Fellow at The Alan Turing Institute. He is also a Professor of Robotics at The University of Edinburgh, where he serves as the Director of the Institute for Perception, Action and Behaviour (IPAB). Sethu is a Fellow at the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the European Lab for Learning and Intelligent Systems. Additionally, he is the Founder and Director of the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics. Sethu also holds the position of Non Executive Director at Baillie Gifford. With a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Southern California, Sethu has a strong academic background and experience as an Adjunct Faculty and research assistant professor. Prior to his current roles, he was a Staff Scientist at RIKEN.
