Misha Tenenbaum is the Chief Executive Officer of EditMentor, a training app that teaches video literacy with a standards-aligned curriculum. The app allows students to solve creative challenges using a browser-based editing software that provides feedback. Misha has been with EditMentor since January 2020.
Before EditMentor, Misha founded EditStock in 2014. EditStock provides students with un-edited video projects for them to practice with and build a demo reel. Misha managed EditStock until January 2020, and the company's clients include prestigious film schools, community colleges, and high schools worldwide.
Prior to EditStock, Misha worked as an Associate Editor at JOBS from June 2012 to February 2013. Misha then worked as an Assistant Editor on the feature film "TALHOTBLOND" and the independent film "GUS" in 2013.
Misha also has experience as an Assistant Editor on the television show "American Horror Story" from August 2011 to December 2012. Misha also worked as an Additional Editor on the film "Assassin's Bullet" in 2012.
In 2008, Misha worked as an Apple Certified Trainer for Final Cut Pro (FCP) at Video Symphony until 2012. Misha taught introductory and advanced FCP, FCP FX, and Editing Aesthetics classes.
In 2011, Misha worked as an Editor on the television show "HUNGRY GIRL" hosted by Lisa Lillien. Misha also worked as an FCP Instructor at Moviola in 2009 and 2010.
Misha Tenenbaum began their education in 2001 at Georgia College & State University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies. During their time there, they also focused on Broadcast Journalism and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2005, Tenenbaum further expanded their education by attending Video Symphony in 2006-2007. At Video Symphony, they acquired proficiency in various software programs, including Avid, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, and Boris.
