Blair Thoman has a diverse work experience with various roles and responsibilities. They began their career as a Consultant at Los Angeles Community Impact in 2015, where they managed a team and provided recommendations for rebranding. They eventually became the President of the organization, overseeing multiple consulting projects. In 2017, Blair joined Teach For America as a Corps Member, serving as a teacher in North Philadelphia for a two-year commitment. They also worked as a USC Campus Ambassador, contributing to rebranding efforts and recruitment. Following this, Blair joined Freire Schools, where they held multiple positions, including Grade Level Project Manager and Teacher in Entrepreneurship. They later joined KIPP New Jersey as a Founding Teacher for College and Career Readiness. In 2021, Blair joined Teach For America again as an Aspiring School Leader Fellow, where they synthesized data and mentored teachers. Their most recent positions include being a Design Associate at Education Elements and Scholarus Learning, starting in 2022.
Blair Thoman attended St. Thomas High School from 2010 to 2014. After completing high school, Blair pursued higher education at the University of Southern California from 2014 to 2018. During this time, Blair earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation. Following the completion of undergraduate studies, Blair enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 for the Urban Teaching Residency program.
