Kimm van Slooten

Kimm van Slooten is a Senior Research Technician at Bilthoven Biologicals since November 2023 and previously held the position of Junior Research Technician. In January 2022, Kimm co-founded Sixth Sense Diagnostics and serves as the Chair of the lab team SenseWURk, focusing on the development of a point-of-care biosensor for IL-6 detection aimed at faster and less life-threatening sepsis diagnosis. Additionally, Kimm has been a trainer for eindexamen scheikunde at Eindsprint since April 2021 and worked as a Flight Attendant at Transavia from June 2016 to September 2019. Kimm's teaching experience also includes working as a Skilerares at Schi-und snowboardschule Galtür from December 2014 to February 2018. Academically, Kimm holds a Master's degree in Medical Biotechnology and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, both from Wageningen University & Research, along with a Master thesis in Medical Biotechnology.
