Darragh Carr

Darragh Carr is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with extensive experience in project management and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Manager at ESB since March 2019, Darragh leads a team focused on Thermal, Solar PV, and FlexTech projects. Previous roles include Engineering Manager at Marubeni Corporation, where Darragh managed independent power and water projects in the Middle-East and Africa, and Project Director in the Asset Development Group at ESB International, overseeing Combined Cycle Gas Turbine power station developments. Darragh's early career includes significant positions at Mott MacDonald, Parsons Brinckerhoff, and ESB International, which provided a solid foundation in power generation consultancy and project engineering. Darragh holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin, a Master of Science in Renewable Energy from Loughborough University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management from Trinity College Dublin.
