Goksenin O. has extensive experience in investment banking, sustainable energy, and finance. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Climate Corps Fellow at Colgate-Palmolive. Goksenin then joined CohnReznick Capital as Vice President from 2016 to 2021. From 2021 to 2023, they worked for CIBC as Director of Global Investment Banking, Renewables. In 2022, they also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University and The Johns Hopkins University, SAIS. Currently, they are the Chief Investment Officer at Elevate Power, starting in 2023. During their time at Johns Hopkins SAIS, they taught a Sustainable Energy Finance course that taught practical skills in financial modeling, project finance, and reading project finance documents.
Goksenin O. earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations & Chinese Studies from Okan University. During their time at Okan, they also completed an Erasmus Exchange Study at Friedrich Schiller University Jena and an Exchange Study at Shanghai University. Later on, they pursued a Master of International Affairs in Global Energy Policy and Finance at Columbia University. In terms of additional certifications, Goksenin obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from CFA Institute in September 2021. Goksenin also obtained an Advanced Financial Modeler certification from the Financial Modeling Institute (FMI) in December 2019, and a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in 2019. Finally, they plan to obtain two Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications, one from PADI in February 2023 and the other from SSI Scuba Schools International in the same year.
