Lorrie Taylor has worked in a variety of roles since 1995. Lorrie began their career as an IT Business Analyst at AT&T Wireless in 1995. In 2005, they moved to the School District of Palm Beach County as a Librarian. From 2007-2012, they were a Teacher/Librarian at Suncoast Community High School. During this time, they were also a Member of the Secondary Reading Council of Florida (2011) and an Adjunct at Barry University, teaching a class in children's literature in the graduate school of education, curriculum and instruction, reading program (2012). In 2012, they joined Orange County Public Schools as Faculty. Lorrie then moved to Orange County Library System in 2015, where they were a Circulation and Special Projects. In the same year, they also joined the Orange County Public Library System as an Information Desk and Youth Services. Finally, in 2020, they began their current role as Operations/Finance Specialist and HR Specialist at MeetElise.

Lorrie Taylor holds a MA from Brandeis University in Community, an MLIS from Florida State University in Information Studies, and a Certified US Passport Acceptance Agent from the U.S. Department of State obtained in November 2019.
