Ioanna Sourvinou

Ioanna Sourvinou has a strong background in regulatory affairs, with experience in various pharmaceutical companies. Ioanna currently serves as the Regulatory Affairs Manager for Greece and Cyprus at Elpen Pharmaceutical Co. Inc. Since joining the company in 2019, they have also held the position of Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer. Prior to Elpen, they worked as a Regulatory Affairs Associate at Innovis Pharma from 2018 to 2019, and at Pharmathen from 2014 to 2018. Ioanna's career started in academia, where they served as a PhD candidate at the Department of Chemistry at Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon from 2010 to 2014. Ioanna also worked as a Biology Professor at Tutorial Schools "Diaplous" and "Kybos" from 2009 to 2014. Before that, they gained experience in the field of biochemistry and clinical biochemistry as an M.Sc candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens from 2007 to 2009. Ioanna'searly professional experience includes roles at the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center in Athens, Greece, where they worked in the Molecular Immunopathology and Istocompatibility Laboratory from June to August 2006 and in the Pathology Laboratory from March to May 2006.

Ioanna Sourvinou completed their education in three stages. Ioanna first attended Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon from 2000 to 2005 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Following this, they pursued further education at the same university from 2006 to 2008, acquiring a Master of Science degree in Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Diagnostics. Finally, from 2009 to 2013, they continued their studies at the university and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree with a specialization in Molecular Diagnostics in cancer.
