Shimin Li

Shimin Li is a highly experienced professional in the field of imaging and algorithms, currently serving as the Director of Imaging and Algorithms at Elucid since September 2022, where innovations in ML/AI-based coronary vessel analysis workflows are being architected. Prior to this role, Shimin Li held various positions at Abbott from February 2018 to September 2022, including AI Systems Architect, where the deployment of multiple AI solutions in Ultreon 2.0 software was led, and Staff R&D Engineer, leading the development of Abbott Vascular's first AI-based software for OCT intravascular imaging. Shimin Li's career also includes significant contributions as the Advanced Algorithms Manager and Senior Software Engineer/Principal Scientist at TeraRecon, Inc., focusing on deep learning solutions for medical imaging. Earlier experience includes a post-doctoral position at Yale School of Medicine and a research associate role at the University of Science and Technology of China, culminating in a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the same institution.
