John Heaton

John Heaton has a long and varied work history, beginning in 2000 with Otakorp Inc. as Section Chief - Relations. In 2001, they joined TeleCommunications System Inc. as a CTSO Engineer, providing technical support at the tier-3 level. In 2004, they worked as a Systems Engineer for George Mason University and a System Administrator for SI International. In 2008, they were a System Administrator for Preventive Medicine LLC. In 2009, they joined Aspera, an IBM company, first as a Regional Sales Engineer Manager, then as Director of Sales Engineering, Americas, and finally as Worldwide Director of Sales Engineering. Finally, in 2017 they joined Google as a Customer Engineer, Google Cloud Platform - Federal Government, and in 2018 they became a Senior Software Infrastructure and Network Systems Engineer for Eluvio.

John Heaton's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1997 to 2001. In 2012, they attended the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business for a New Manager Boot Camp. From 2005 to 2008, they studied General Studies in Economics and Info Assurance at George Mason University. Additionally, they obtained two certifications from Google Cloud Certified in 2017, a Google Certified Professional - Data Engineer and a Google Certified Professional - Cloud Architect.
