Bruce Sommerfeldt

Bruce says he was intrigued from the first time he visited the Embrey website and saw the tagline, “creating places where people want to be.” And, the more he learned about the values and culture of the company, the more he knew he was making the right decision to join the team. As a specialist in asset management, his work connects him with colleagues throughout the organization, from corporate accounting to onsite management, which he finds energizing. He began his career as an analyst for Ernst & Young and honed his skills in real estate in a variety of roles at the Hanover Company, where he oversaw the openings of 60 properties. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master's in Accountancy from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. His ideal vacation is anywhere in the Caribbean, preferably where he can pursue his dual loves of surfing and scuba diving. He's a morning person whose most enjoyable time of day is that 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. window where he quietly prepares for the day.
