Gareth Young

Gareth Young is the Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality for EnerCorp. Starting with the company during its founding year, Gareth has worked with the Executive and Operations teams to develop EnerCorp’s Safety Management System from the ground up. He continues to develop and lead company initiatives, driving HSEQ performance towards Safe Operations and Goal Zero.

During the course of the past 18 years, Gareth has served in field operations, training, and HSE positions. He began his career in the energy industry as a service professional and operator in the wireline segment while continuing to complete his bachelor’s degree at the University of Louisiana Lafayette. Upon graduation, Gareth stepped into a training role for Superior Energy Services before being recruited to Nabors Drilling. While at Nabors, Gareth progressed from a field safety position to managing the HSE program for a district, and ultimately being promoted to manage the HSE program in the US for the lower-48.

Since leaving Nabors, Gareth assisted in building HSE programs for multiple companies within the energy industry, as well as developing and launching an internet based HSE Management software suite, before being recruited to EnerCorp. He recently returned to school and received his Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University. Gareth currently resides in Tomball, TX with his wife and two daughters. He and his wife are very involved in their home church and serve in many capacities there. He is also an active member of the ASSE.
