David Ahrens

David Ahrens currently serves as the Managing Director at Energy Spectrum since October 2003, focusing on energy efficiency projects, demand response programs, cogeneration projects, and energy procurement among others. A member of the Board of Directors for the NY Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers since 2009, Ahrens contributes to educational programs and industry recognition in the energy sector. Additionally, Ahrens is part of the Energy Services & Technology Program Advisory Board at CUNY Bronx Community College and serves on the Executive Board of the Northeast Combined Heat and Power Initiative since 2005. Ahrens previously held a position on the Con Edison Market Partner Advisory Board and was a member of the Association of Energy Economists. Ahrens has consulting experience from Navigant Consulting and engineering experience from Newport News Shipbuilding, complemented by degrees in engineering and business from Baruch College, State University of New York Maritime College, and Strome College of Business.
