Senior Scientist at Engine Biosciences

Sourik Ganguly has been in the field of cancer research and drug discovery for over 15 years. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Scientist at Engine Biosciences. From 2018 to 2021, they were an Assistant Scientific Investigator at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson, where they managed grant proposals and data collection and analysis for various cancer research and drug discovery initiatives. Prior to that, they were a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Van Andel Institute in Grand Rapids, MI from 2013 to 2018. From 2006 to 2013, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Kentucky, where they focused on determining the role of ABL kinases in the development of melanoma and breast cancer metastasis. Sourik also published a landmark paper exploring how Abl kinases induce cancer progression through inhibition of a metastasis suppressor.

Sourik Ganguly received their Ph.D. in Molecular & Biomedical Pharmacology from the University of Kentucky in 2013. Prior to this, they obtained their Master of Science degree in Biology from Morehead State University in 2006.
