Ian Nieboer

Ian Nieboer, CFA, P.Eng. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ian is currently working at Enverus as the Managing Director - Head of Energy Transition Research, leading research on energy transition. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Product Management at Enverus, focusing on sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Before joining Enverus, Ian worked at RS Energy Group as a Managing Director and Director, where they gained expertise in energy analytics and intelligence. Ian also has experience at ITG as an AVP in research and at Ariol Capital as an Associate. Additionally, Ian has worked as an intern at IESE Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center. Ian'searly career includes roles as an Exploitation Engineer and Field Engineer at Canadian Natural Resources Limited and as a Summer Student in economics at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER). Ian started their career as a Summer Student in engineering at ESB International.

Ian Nieboer, CFA, P.Eng. holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance from IESE Business School, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Ian also earned a BA (Hons) in Applied Economics from Queen's University from 2003 to 2006, as well as a BSc. Eng in Engineering Physics from the same university from 2001 to 2006. Additionally, Ian has obtained certifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in 2016, and the Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). Ian has also completed the Canadian Securities Course from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) and is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.
