Emile Roosenschoon

Emile Roosenschoon has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Emile began their career as an Audit Senior at Baker Tilly Greenwoods Chartered Accountants, where they worked from 2007 to 2009. Emile then advanced to the position of Senior Audit Manager, taking on responsibilities such as client management, statutory audits, and tax advisory. In 2010, Emile also had the opportunity to work at EisnerAmper LLP in New York City for a period of three months.

In 2012, Emile joined McDonald's Corporation as an Internal Audit Supervisor, where they oversaw projects related to operational, SOX, and supply chain matters across different regions. After working there for almost two years, they moved on to Tesco PLC in 2013 as a Senior Auditor in the Group Internal Audit and Advisory Services team. At Tesco, Emile played a significant role in investigating the company's misstatement of revenue, as well as conducting a comprehensive review of commercial income recognition.

Following their time at Tesco, Emile served as the Group Senior Audit Manager at Sky from 2015 to 2018. In this role, they managed various projects related to business integration, transformation, control improvement, and resource allocation. Additionally, Emile led projects requested by senior leadership in areas such as company retention and customer video streaming propositions.

Most recently, Emile has been working at BT since 2018. As the Senior Manager in Group Finance, they were responsible for establishing a new 2nd line of defense assurance team and developing a three-year assurance plan. Emile's role also involved coordinating activities between different internal and external audit teams, as well as implementing data analytics extensively.

Currently, Emile is the Internal Audit Director at Enviri Corporation, starting in 2020. In this position, they lead the Internal Audit function serving three business divisions, reporting directly to the Audit Committee Chairman and Group CFO.

Emile Roosenschoon obtained their Bachelor's degree (Hons) in Accounting from Stellenbosch University in the years 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they matriculated with Distinction from Paul Roos Gymnasium from 1998 to 2002. Emile also attended Grey College from 1996 to 1997. Additionally, they obtained the ACA certification from ICAEW in 2015 and the CA(SA) certification from SAICA CA(SA) in 2010.
