Grant Newman

Grant Newman is currently the SVP, Strategy & Corporate Development at Era Group. Prior to this, they served as the VP, Treasurer & Head of Investor Relations at Bristow Group from June 2020 to September 2021. Grant also served as the Senior Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development at Era Helicopters from January 2018 to June 2020.

Before joining Era Group, Grant Newman spent 10 years at Deutsche Bank where they were the Director of the Industrials Group - Transportation, Aviation and Commercial Aerospace. In this role, they were responsible for all elements of client coverage and business origination with direct dialogue and deep relationships with executives at some of the largest aviation and commercial aerospace companies including airlines, helicopter operators, aircraft lessors, OEMs, aircraft component manufacturers and MRO providers.

During their time at Deutsche Bank, Grant Newman successfully executed over $140 billion of debt, equity and M&A transactions. Grant also developed detailed industry overviews, business valuations, capital market analytics and strategic alternatives assessments. Additionally, they simultaneously managed multiple deal teams consisting of investment banking vice presidents, associates and analysts, senior product partner specialists and client resources.

Grant Newman is a captain and co-founder of the Fuqua School of Business recruiting team and a key representative in Duke undergraduate recruiting. Grant has led Duke and Fuqua on campus hiring processes for Deutsche Bank; interviewed, recruited and hired over 100 analysts and associates.

Grant Newman's educational career includes an MBA from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business, and a BA in Economics, Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.
