Prof. Dr. Dr. H.c. Jörg Becker

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jörg Becker has a diverse work experience spanning several prestigious institutions. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. served as the Managing Director at the European Research Center for Information Systems since 2004, and previously held the same position at the Institute for Information Systems at the University of Muenster since 1994. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. also worked as a Visiting Professor at various universities starting in 2002.

Before these roles, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jörg Becker was a Full Professor at the University of Muenster since 1990, where they later became the Vice-Rector for strategic planning and quality assurance from 2008 to 2014. Prior to that, they were the Head of the CIM-Technologie-Transfer Center at Saarland University from 1987 to 1990. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. started their career as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Information Systems (IWi) at Saarland University from 1982 to 1990.

Additionally, they worked as a Consultant at IDS Gesellschaft in 1987.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jörg Becker obtained a Diploma in Studies of Management from the Universität des Saarlandes in 1982. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. then pursued a Doctoral degree in Business Administration from the same university, completing it in 1987. In 1980-1981, they studied Business Administration and Economics at the University of Michigan. Finally, they obtained their Habilitation and venia legendi in Business Administration from the Universität des Saarlandes in 1992.
