Joshua Lipsman M.D., Jd, Mph

Joshua Lipsman, MD, JD, MPH has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Joshua is the Founding Chair of the Village of Athens Conservation Advisory Council since August 2020. Joshua also serves as the Owner and Corporate Medical Director of Ever/Body since June 2019, and as the Owner and Medical Director of Move Well Medical since November 2017. Additionally, they are the Principal Consultant of JBL Health Systems, LLC since January 2010 and a Board Trustee for the Village of Athens, New York since April 2019. Joshua has held positions as a Medical Director at Centene Corporation from April 2022 to August 2023, at Humana from April 2019 to March 2022, and as a Physician Clinical Reviewer at Magellan Health from November 2018 to April 2019. Joshua has also worked as a Physician Consultant and Assistant Medical Director at Fedcap from September 2016 to April 2019. Joshua was the Senior Vice President of Manipal Education Americas, LLC from December 2015 to April 2016.

Joshua Lipsman obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in biology from the University of Chicago in the year 1979. Joshua then pursued their medical education at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 1979 to 1983, earning their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Following this, from 1983 to 1986, they completed their residency in family medicine at Saint Paul-Ramsey Medical Center Department of Family Practice (University of Minnesota). In 1988, they enrolled in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and obtained their Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in health policy and administration in 1990.

Joshua further expanded their educational background and acquired a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in biochemistry from the University of Chicago in 1979. Later, they pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in law at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, graduating in 2006.

In terms of additional certifications, Joshua Lipsman obtained a Certification in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) in February 1993. Furthermore, in July 2006, they became an Attorney through the New York State Unified Court System. Joshua also received a Doctor of Medicine designation from the New York State Education Department in February 1997. Lastly, in March 2019, they obtained a Controlled Substance Registration Certificate from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
