Ilia Zhidkov has a diverse work experience in computational technologies and genomics. They started their career in 2011 as a Bioinformatician at the National Institute of Biotechnology in the Negev. They later joined Evogene, where they held various roles, including Director of Computational Technologies, VP of Computational Technologies, and Team Leader in Computational Genomics. Their tenure at Evogene started in 2011 and they are currently still employed there.
Ilia Zhidkov pursued their education in the field of genetics. From 2007 to 2012, they attended Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Genetics. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Biotechnology from Belarusian State University, a five-year program which they attended from 2001 to 2006.
