James Biggam

James Biggam has extensive work experience in the mining industry. James has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. James started their career as a Contract Geologist at MIM/CSIRO in 1993. James then worked as a Geological Technician at Western Mining Corporation Limited before moving on to Arimco Mining Pty Limited as a Mine Geologist. After that, they joined Great Central Mines Pty Ltd. as a Mine Geologist. In 1999, they joined Newmont Corporation as a Senior Mine Geologist. James later worked at AngloGold Ashanti as a Senior Underground Mine Geologist and later as a Geology Manager at the Sunrise Dam operation. James then moved to Newmont Corporation as the Geology Manager of the Tanami Operation before joining Newcrest Mining as the Geology Manager of the Telfer mine. Currently, they work at Evolution Mining as the Principal of Operational Excellence, and has previously held roles such as Geology Manager and Geology and Business Improvement Manager at the Cowal Operation. James has gained in-depth knowledge and experience in the mining industry throughout their career.

James Biggam received a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from James Cook University in 2019. James also obtained a B Applied Science with Honors degree in Geology from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) between 1989 and 1992. Furthermore, in 2023, they completed a Microcredential in Managing Operational Improvement from the Australian Institute of Management.
